Jobs Gantt Chart

The Jobs Gantt chart shows the status of progress through their scheduled jobs for all vehicles on a specified day. This chart appears as one of the map list views.

If you do not see the Jobs Gantt Chart tab below the map, you probably do not have any territories defined. The Gantt chart requires that you define at least one territory.

1:

Use the date edit control or drop-down calendar to indicate the date for which you want to view jobs.

2:

Each row shows the progress of a single driver. Click on the driver name to display a menu of tasks such as displaying the jobs assigned to the driver, editing the driver, or viewing a history for the driver.

If you do not see a row for the driver(s) you are interested in because it is on a different page, you can filter the map to limit the number of drivers until the ones you want to see appear in the list.

3:

Next to each row for a driver that has one or more assigned routes appear the names of all routes assigned to that driver for the currently selected day. Clicking on a route name displays a menu that lets you see a dialog with details about the route (either 'View or Edit Route' or 'View Jobs').

You can click the Edit button to change the driver or vehicle, as long as the route has not already been started.

4:

Change the way jobs are colored in the Gantt chart. This setting also affects the color used for job clusters on the map. For information on the possible values, see Map Settings, and for information about configuring the colors used to represent jobs, see Additions to the Settings Dialog.

5:

Filter the Gantt chart so that it only shows warning icons for warnings that are not checked. Click the drop-down arrow to display a set of check boxes for filtering warnings.

6:

Check Hide Drivers without Routes to remove rows from the Gantt chart that are empty because the driver has no assigned route for the selected day.

7:

Import new routes from CSV format files in suitably configured accounts, using the route import screen.

8:

Click the Job Settings button to open the Map Settings dialog box, with the Jobs tab automatically selected.

9:

Each job is represented by a solid bar of color. The color of the bar indicates the status of the job, using the same color as appears on job clusters on the map.  If there is a problem with a job (for example, if the driver is late), a warning icon appears on the job. You can hover the mouse over the warning icon to display a tool tip that explains the problem.

You can click on a job and drag it to another position to change the order of jobs, or drag it to the row for another driver to reassign the job. When you change a job by dragging it to a new position or driver, a confirmation dialog appears to verify the change, telling you the new details.

10:

Above each route in the Gantt chart, the background is shaded. If you click in this shaded region, a history of the actual route that the driver took is displayed in a history layer over the map and in a Gantt chart form below the Gantt chart row for the scheduled route. For details, see Comparing planned and actual routes in the Gantt chart.

11:

If you hover the mouse over the bar for a job, a status balloon appears providing details about the job.

Click on the link for the Job name for a menu that lets you view the Job Details popup, find nearby vehicles, or unassign the job.
Click on the link for the job location for a menu that lets you perform tasks for the location.
