InSight Alert Emails

If you have enabled email notifications for InSight Alerts™ Inbox, the email addresses you have specified will receive emails that contain the information described in the InSight Alerts Inbox. Depending on the alert type specified, it may also include additional information to help you understand the circumstances of the vehicle when the alert was triggered. Information contained in this email typically includes a subset of the following information:
 

Email Table Row

Meaning

Alert Name

The name of the alert that triggered.

Alert Type

The type of alert that was triggered.

Vehicle

The name of the vehicle that triggered the alert.

Vehicle Time

The time at the vehicle's location, its time zone and location, as reported by the vehicle.

Driver

The driver assigned to the vehicle at the time the alert triggered.

Time Zone

The time zone of your account (configured from the main Settings screen on the User tab).

On Time

The time the alert was turned on. This is the time of the first report that indicated the exception was occurring, but may not be the trigger time if you have configured a tolerance or "time to trigger" value.

On Address

The nearest street address to the vehicle when the alert was turned on

Trigger Time

The time the alert triggered. For details on how alerts trigger, see InSight Alerts: under the hood.

Trigger Lat

The latitude coordinates of the vehicle when the alert was triggered.

Trigger Lon

The longitude coordinates of the vehicle when the alert was triggered.

Trigger Address

The nearest street address to the vehicle when the alert was triggered.

Speed

The speed of the vehicle when the alert was triggered.

Trigger Speed Limit

The speed limit of the road the vehicle was traveling on when the alert was triggered, and any tolerances (grace periods or speeding margins) you have specified.

Off Time

The time the alert was turned off. This is the time of the first report that indicated the exception was no longer occurring.

Off Lat

The latitude coordinates of the vehicle when the alert was turned off.

Off Lon

The longitude coordinates of the vehicle when the alert was turned off.

Off Address

The nearest street address to the vehicle when the alert was turned off

Off Speed

The speed of the vehicle when the alert was turned off.

Off Speed Limit

The speed limit of the road the vehicle was traveling on when the alert was triggered, and whether this limit was implied or posted.

Duration

The length of time that the alert was turned on. This is the time from Triggered to Off.

Severity

The severity of the alert. The color shows the type of alert.

Job

(If your account includes support for jobs)

The job that the driver was working on at the time the alert triggered.

Marker

The marker name, if the vehicle was at a marked location when the alert triggered.
