Uploading Coach Training Videos

You can upload driver training videos for the Training section of the Verizon Connect® Coach™ component of Verizon Connect® WorkPlan™ via the platform interface.

This feature is option controlled, and must be enabled by Verizon Connect.

Upload a Training Video

1.Open the Tasks section of the main menu and then click Media. The Media window opens.

If you have previously created a channel to house the video you want to upload, skip to step 5.

2.Click Create to open the Create dialog box.

 
3.Enter a name for the new video channel in the Video Channel field. Enter a short description for the channel in the Description field:

 
4.Click OK. The channel is added to the channels list in the left panel.
5.Click a channel name from the left panel, then click Add .

 
The Create dialog box opens.

 
6.Click Select Video, browse to the video to upload, select it, then click Open.
The following table describes the recommended format and resolution guidelines. These recommendations are designed to minimize file size and maximize compatibility on iOS and Android devices.

7.Enter a name for the video in the Name field, then click OK. The Name field is automatically populated by the File name during the previous step, but can be changed to any other name. The file extension (for example, .mp4) is not required. An upload progress message  is displayed as the video uploads. This process may take some time depending on your Internet speed, local network conditions, and the size of the video file you are uploading.

 
8.Once successfully uploaded, the video is listed in the Videos in channel panel. The video can now be viewed by all Verizon Connect® Coach™ users on their mobile devices.

Edit Channel Names and Descriptions

To edit the name and description of a video channel:

1.Click Tasks Menu > Media. The Media window opens.
2.Select a channel from the left panel.
3.Click Edit above the left panel to open the Edit dialog box.

 
4.Edit the Video Channel field, or the Description field, or both.
5.Click OK to save, or Cancel to close.

Edit Video Names and Thumbnail Images

To edit the name and thumbnail image of a video:

1.Click Tasks Menu > Media. The Media window opens.
2.Select a channel from the left panel.
3.Select a video from the Videos in channel panel.
4.Click Edit above the Videos in channel panel to open the Edit dialog box.

 

From this dialog box you can edit the following:

oName - The name of the video. A file extension (for example, .mp4) is not required.
oThumbnail - The thumbnail image displayed on the Training screen of the Verizon Connect® Coach™ mobile application. To replace the default thumbnail image, click Select new image, browse to the new 445x250 pixel image to upload, select it, then click Open.
5.Click OK to save, or Cancel to close.

Delete Channels and Videos

To delete a channel:

1.Click Tasks Menu > Media. The Media window opens.
2.Select a channel from the left panel.
3.Click Delete above the left panel. A confirmation dialog box opens:

 
4.Click Yes to confirm the deletion, or No to cancel. Note that deleting a channel also deletes every video in that channel.

To delete a video:

1.Click Tasks Menu > Media. The Media window opens.
2.Select a channel from the left panel.
3.Select a video from the Videos in channel panel.
4.Click Delete above the Videos in channel panel. A confirmation dialog box opens:

 
5.Click Yes to confirm the deletion, or No to cancel.
