Mileage Reports

Mileage reports list the total distance driven by each driver or vehicle in a specified fleet. There are several subtypes, each of which provides different subtotals:

Mileage by Vehicle lists the total distance driven for each vehicle in the fleet.
Mileage by Driver, Vehicle lists the total distance driven by each driver, with subtotals for each vehicle that the driver was assigned to.
Mileage by Vehicle, Driver lists the total distance driven by each vehicle, with subtotals for each driver who was assigned to the vehicle.
Mileage by State, Vehicle lists the total distance driven in each state, with subtotals for each vehicle that drove through the state.
Mileage by Vehicle, State lists the total distance driven by each vehicle, with subtotals for each state the vehicle moved through.
Mileage by Vehicle, Load (Categories) lists the total distance driven by each vehicle, the total distance driven in the “loaded” state, the percentage of distance driven in the “loaded” state, and the number of trips made.
Mileage by Vehicle, Load (Markers) lists the total distance driven by each vehicle, the total distance driven in the “loaded” state, the percentage of distance driven in the “loaded” state, and the number of trips made.
Mileage Totals by Vehicle and State lists the total distance driven by each vehicle in the selected group (typically a fleet, but can also be a subset of a fleet).
Mileage by Road Type lists the total distance driven on each road type (private, public, toll road, paved, or unpaved) for each vehicle, with subtotals by state.
Mileage and Engine Hours by Road Type lists the total distance and number of engine hours driven on each road type (private, public, toll road, paved, or unpaved) for each vehicle, with subtotals by state

Distance is given in miles or kilometers, based on the preference you set in the Settings dialog box.

Report Settings

The options specific to Mileage reports that you can set are as follows:

Time Frame Options: The days this report describes.
Fleet: Specifies which vehicles to show in the report. Use this section to select fleets, vehicles, and sections of the hierarchy tree. The Fleet section includes a Show empty nodes check box and a Search field, with Previous and Next buttons so you can navigate within search results. The Fleet section has two columns: Name (showing the names of Fleets/Vehicles) and Vehicle Count (showing the number of vehicles in the specified Fleet).
Finish Marker/Category: Vehicles are considered to be "loaded" when traveling from this marker or category to a "start" marker. (Mileage by Vehicle, Load only)
Start Marker/Category: Vehicles are considered to be "loaded" when traveling from a "finish" marker to this marker or category. (Mileage by Vehicle, Load only)
Mileage Threshold: The threshold distance for including a distance in the report. If a vehicle moves less than this threshold, the distance is given as N/A. (Mileage by Vehicle, Load only)
Show Empty Nodes: Specifies that the node tree view includes hierarchy nodes that do not contain any vehicles.
Include Tag Filter: Specifies tags that must be present in order for vehicles to be included in the report.
Exclude Tag Filter: Specifies tags that, if present, cause vehicles to be excluded from the report.

Report Columns

The columns of Mileage reports are as follows:

1.Driver Name: The name of the vehicle's driver.
2.State: The state or region the vehicle was in when it was idling. The definition of "State" varies by country, and in some cases is undefined. For example, in the US, this refers to federal states, while in other countries it might refer to regions or territories.
3.Vehicle: The vehicle that the mileage can be attributed to.
4.Distance: The total distance traveled over of all trips in the given subset. Trip distances are calculated using odometer values reported by the engine. When no odometer value is available, GPS points are used to calculate distance.
5.Road Type: The type of road the vehicle was driven on. "Private Road", "Public Road", "Toll Road", "Paved Road", "Unpaved Road". (Mileage by Road Type only)
6.Miles Driven: The total number of miles driven by each vehicle over the specified report period. (Mileage by Road Type only)
7.Hierarchy Level 1/2/3/4: The names of the hierarchy nodes that contain the vehicles being described. For example, Level 1 represents the root node of the hierarchy, and Level 2 a node nested within the root node. Empty nodes are blank (for example, if vehicles are assigned to a level 3 node, but not the child node level 4. (Mileage and Engine Hours by Road Type only)
8.[Road Type] Mileage: The number of miles traveled on roads of the following types: "Private Road", "Public Road", "Toll Road", "Paved Road", "Unpaved Road". (Mileage and Engine Hours by Road Type only)
9.[Road Type] Engine Hours: The number of engine hours recorded by vehicles while driving on roads of the following types: "Private Road", "Public Road", "Toll Road", "Paved Road", "Unpaved Road". (Mileage and Engine Hours by Road Type only)
