Reports

When managing a fleet of vehicles, it is vital to have accurate reports of all aspects of your vehicles and their activities. This application comes with a suite of over 100 powerful reports ranging from high-level summaries to detailed descriptions of a single vehicle.

Regardless of the type of report you are working with, you can always start from the Manage Reports screen. This screen provides many options, allowing you to:

Create new reports of any type (assuming your account has the feature enabled), and save or run them immediately.
Schedule reports to be generated automatically and emailed to one or more people.
Run reports that have been saved previously.
Edit reports that have been saved previously.
Upload new custom reports.

For the reports that you have saved, you can also run or view them directly from the navigation bar if you do not want to open the Manage Reports screen:

The Reports section of the navigation bar includes items for every built-in or simple custom report you have saved. Select these reports to run them immediately. You can use the Reports queue to check their status as they run and download them when they are complete.

Report Formats

When running a built-in or custom report, you can choose from the following formats. Some formats are not supported for certain reports.

Format

Purpose

Scenario

PDF

Printing, sharing, and viewing

Primarily designed for viewing or printing before viewing. You might also choose to share PDF files with others, because they look professional, and they are built for general consumption.

HTML

Printing and viewing in an email body

Primarily designed for viewing a report in the body of an email. This saves you the step of opening a report as a separate attachment.

Spreadsheet (Excel)

Viewing

Primarily designed for viewing the report in an Excel spreadsheet. This format does not allow for further manipulation of the data.

Tabular

Viewing, analyzing, and custom reporting

Primarily designed for viewing, sorting, filtering, grouping, or analyzing the data; or for creating custom reports from the data. This format is similar to CSV, but it is specifically formatted for Excel.

CSV

Exporting for analysis

Primarily designed for exporting the data to a third-party reporting or visualization program, such as Tableau, Power BI, or Excel. In these tools you can view, sort, filter, group, or analyze the data; or you can create custom reports from the data. You might also want to import CSV files into a local database for ongoing analysis.
