Configuring Navigation Routing Settings

The routing settings are used by Navigation to make routing decisions. They can be set globally for all subusers or, in some cases, the drivers can override them in the app. To be able to override the routing behavior, drivers must have permissions. Permissions are set on the Mobile Defaults tab within the Settings dialog box or on the Verizon Connect Mobile tab within the Drivers dialog box, using the setting Allow Driver Override of Routing Behavior.

To change the routing settings globally for all subuser accounts:

1.Click the signed-in account name in the upper right corner of the platform interface to open the settings menu.

 
2.Click Settings. The Settings dialog box opens.
3.Select the Routing Defaults tab:

Purpose

Routing Behavior

Same Side Routing

Select this if routes should leave departing locations and approach destinations without crossing traffic lanes. For example, if you drive on the right side of the road in your country, your departing location and destination would be on the right.

Allow U-turns

Select this if routes are allowed to include u-turns. Applicable if the Same Side Routing check box is cleared.

Use Toll Roads

Select this if routes are allowed to include toll roads.

Vehicle Settings

Vehicle Type

Select the appropriate vehicle. Certain types of vehicles have routing restrictions associated with them. Vehicle types include:
 

Automobile - a standard passenger vehicle, pick-up, or van.
Straight Truck - a straight single-chassis truck, as opposed to a tractor and trailer combination.
Standard Single Truck - a tractor unit with a single standard trailer.
Standard Double Truck - a tractor unit with two standard trailers.
Intermediate Double Truck - a tractor unit with two intermediate length trailers.
Long Double Truck - a tractor unit with two long trailers.
Standard Triple Truck - a tractor unit with three trailers.

Length

The overall length of the vehicle (including any trailers), in the unit configured for your account.

Width

The width of the vehicle, in the unit configured for your account.

Height

The height of the vehicle, in the unit configured for your account.

Unladen Weight

The weight of the vehicle (excluding any loads carried), in the unit configured for your account.

Gross Weight

The overall weight of the vehicle (including any loads carried), in the unit configured for your account.
