Creating a New Scenario

To create a new scenario go to the Scenarios screen and click the Create Scenario button in the upper left corner. Alternatively, if no scenarios are listed, you can click the central Create new scenario link.

The Create Scenario dialog box opens. Select the method for creating a scenario by clicking on the appropriate Create Scenario button.

You have the following options for creating a new scenario:

Create a scenario from live Verizon Connect data
When you choose this option, you create a synced scenario. The scenario uses existing data from the Verizon Connect platform. Any changes you make in Scenarios can be synchronized with the Verizon Connect platform. If at any point you want to detach the scenario so that the data is separate from the Verizon Connect platform, you can do this from the Sync link.
Import scenario from a JSON file
When you choose this option, you create either a detached or a synced scenario depending on the scenario that you import. The scenario uses data from a JSON file. To make the import as straight-forward as possible, use the column naming conventions described in the import file format table for each list; for example the driver import file format for the Drivers list. Any changes you make in Scenarios can be synchronized with the Verizon Connect platform if the scenario is synced.
Create a blank scenario
When you choose this option, you create a detached scenario. The scenario contains no data and must be created from scratch. Any changes you make in Scenarios cannot be synchronized with the Verizon Connect platform.
