Clusters

To prevent the map from becoming too cluttered when you are looking at a large number of vehicles, the map screen uses vehicle clusters. With the use of clusters, you can see the status of thousands of vehicles in a single, uncluttered, at-a-glance overview.

Each vehicle cluster consists of a numerical value and two pie charts:

cluster

The numerical value shows the number of vehicles that the cluster represents. (Note that this number is not shown if the cluster icons are too small)
By default, the inner pie chart shows the icon colors for the vehicles in the cluster. You can use the map settings to configure what this color shows.
By default, the outer pie chart (ring) shows the status of the vehicles in the cluster. You can use the map settings to configure what this color shows.

When you hover over a cluster, you can see an info balloon that provides more detailed information about the vehicles in the cluster.

How Are Vehicles Grouped Into Clusters?

The way the grouping for vehicle clusters is determined depends on the current zoom level of the map, using the following algorithm:

1.The map is divided into columns 54 pixels wide. (Thus the geographic area for each column is based on the current zoom level).
2.Starting with the northernmost vehicle or job in each column, the columns are divided into cells, each the height of the cluster. Note that this is not a straightforward grid, as the northernmost vehicle or job in each column typically has a different latitude.
3.Cells with a single vehicle or job are displayed using a vehicle or job icon, while cells with two or more vehicles/jobs are displayed using clusters. The location of the cluster is offset within the cell to the position closest to all vehicles/jobs.
