Rollups are customized data sources that you can use for custom reports. These are tables specific to your account that contain summarized data which is updated daily. Rollup data can include any information that can be added to or calculated by a custom report.

When you base a custom report on a rollup data set, it speeds up report generation because many of the calculations that need to be made have already been processed when the rollup data is updated each day. Rollup data sets are useful for custom reports that summarize a lot of data or that need to filter out a lot of data from the built-in custom report data sets.
